Nowadays the department stores and specialty stores begin their Christmas shopping displays and lures not only before Thanksgiving, but also it seems, immediately after Labor Day.
As one who has grumbled at times about such commercial over-kill, here I am doing somewhat the same. I am concluding this year’s ramblings (Musings V) more than a month before Thanksgiving.
Because of plans to be in San Francisco for five weeks, house-sitting 1231 Page St., the material must be at the copy shop, reproduced and collated before departure, late October. I can’t think of a happier, more exciting reason for an early sign-off. However, mailing will be about December 1. Thus, I will be somewhat timely in wishing you
